Behind this easy breezy smile lies a sleep-deprived soul! I guess my eyeballs betray me in this picture: all red and showing no amusement about the quick snapshot; they had no choice, I wanted a photo!
…
Gosh. Some days, I long for just a moment to shut my pretty eyes and grab a looooooong sleep. Then I look at the pile of work I have to do, and I jump right up.
…
I almost made supplications to dear universe, to bestow upon us the gift of 34 hours a day…But on a second thought, I took the route of self-critique rooted in objectivity. Below is my conclusion:
Even if a day were extended beyond the stretch of a thousand hours, if one does not prioritize proper rest, and take it as seriously as other important activities, it would always be shoved to the bottom of the list of what is important-if at all it makes the list.⠀
…
One of the ways that I am learning to take care of my mental health, general sanity, and productivity is to give as much attention to taking a rest as I do working on briefs and passion-driven assignments.⠀
So, am I there yet? Definitely not! Long shot. Haha.⠀
In conclusion, being overworked is not a virtue. We must learn to give attention to adequate rest. Our QUALITY of LIFE depends on it.⠀
